Hey friend,

Just like me.

I've struggled to write or come up with ideas.

Maybe I still struggle to stay consistent, even though the fire still burns beneath the surface.

Picking up that pen daily feels like climbing a mountain sometimes.

But the first step?

Start by acknowledging the root of your demotivation.

As much as you want to write, it remains a struggle.

Why?

Because it comes down to one thing: Making it FUN

  • How do I make writing fun?

  • How do I come up with new ideas?

  • Am I overthinking it?

  • What if I have zero motivation?

These questions aren't just about writing—they help you figure out your true story.

But here’s what I do to break through the struggle.

Writing is like reviewing a product—except that product is YOU.

Yes, yourself! We’re all the product of our experiences. And that’s where the fun begins.

Here’s how I translate my own “self-review” into something worth engaging with.

  1. Simplicity is the way.

Sometimes we have a million ideas buzzing around, but always remember—you’re not writing another Bible, LOL!

Don’t overthink it.

  1. Be real. Be Authentic

It’s just as important as overcoming the struggle of picking up the pen. Trust that your brain controls what your hand writes. Let it take charge.

Your mind is the powerhouse of your experiences, and those experiences feed your best ideas.

I like to call this “The-MIND-Hand Torque”—the natural flow between your mind and hand that brings your true stories to life.

  1. Set Up ‘Zone-Out’ Time

Create a 30-45 minute block of time each day dedicated to writing.

Figure out the time of day that works best for you.

For me, the first hour of the day and the last few minutes before bed are golden.

Whatever you choose, nothing should interrupt your Zone-Out Time.

That’s a sacred space for creativity.

  1. Write with Purpose

Even if you’re writing about yourself, focus on providing value.

Share both the bright and the dark sides of your journey.

It’s these insights that make your story powerful and relatable.

5. Stay Consistent

The secret to improvement is consistency.

Show up every day, even when you don’t feel like it.

When your ZONE-OUT TIMES calls, you Answer.

The more you write, the more natural it becomes.

there you have it, friend

Next time you feel stuck, approach it like a product review.

It’s a chance to check in with yourself, adjust, and get better.

In the end, your writing is a reflection of your growth.
